General

As an application engineer, I do not want to have to check whether an alarm must be set for each individual module when the module is not functioning correctly.

As an application engineer, I would like to only have to maintain a single piece of software for all possible machine configurations.

 

Managing the hardware configuration via the HMI application

As a machine manufacturer, I would like the flexibility of being able to create the hardware configuration in an external tool in an established format and to import this directly on the machine.

As a service technician, I would like to be able to check the current state of all hardware modules via the HMI application.

As a service technician, I would like to reassign an I/O data point to another I/O data point at runtime without having to restart.
