This section explains the basic concept of mapp Tweet.
Hardware
The following hardware is supported in combination with mapp Tweet:
•CINTERION MC52i Terminal, Release 01.201
•INSYS GSM small 2.0, Revision 01.100
•Westermo GDW-11, item no. 3615-0001, release Q24PL001
Configuration
mapp Tweet is configured via the MpTweetCore configuration. Section "Connection setup" is used to define which hardware is used. If B&R SiteManager is used, option "B&R SiteManager 1135" is selected. For all other supported modems, "GSM modem serial communication" is defined.
SiteManager
When using B&R SiteManager, the hardware must be configured accordingly. For information about how to do this, see section Configuring the SiteManager. In the MpTweetCore configuration, it is necessary to define whether to use the TCP or UDP protocol. In order to establish a connection to the modem, the IP address and port number of the SiteManager must be specified. The IP address of the SiteManager is configured via the Appliance Launcher tool. The port to be used is 26864.
Other modems
If another modem is used instead of B&R SiteManager, the AT command set is used. The connection parameters to the modem are then defined under "Connection setup". For additional information, see here.
